Class Guided Skiing, Yoga and Lodging
with Winslow Passey
January 5-9, 2011
Come enjoy the great skiing at Alta, Utah and a yoga adventure in the beautiful Wasatch mountains. This new program combines yoga instruction with both resort and backcountry ski outings. The principles of alignment and self awareness taught in yoga are integrated into skiing. The intention of the retreat is to increase self awareness and connect with the surroundings, thus maximizing the fun and enjoyment of the participants.
The group will spend three days in the surrounding backcountry, accompanied by five yoga sessions over three days. The retreat includes lodging and all meals.
No backcountry skiing or yoga experience is required, but participants should be intermediate or advanced level skiers and capable of skiing ungroomed terrain at the ski area. Good fitness is essential, with the ability to hike 2,500-3,500 feet in elevation gain. Guide to client ratio is 1:3.
