Lily Hays manages the Alta
Lodge Kids’ Program.Lily earned a
bachelor’s degree in Biology from the University of Puget Sound,
and has done a year and a half of research in the University’s biology
department. She has volunteered in summer school programs for first grade students
at WashingtonElementary School in Santa Barbara, and enjoyed taking
education classes in college. Lily has just returned from South America, where
she was studying Spanish and backpacking through Argentina
and Chile.
She has worked seasonally as a horseback riding instructor for children ages 8
to 15 for eight years.Lily holds certifications
in First Aid and Adult, Child and Infant CPR.
Julie Davis is the Kids’
Program assistant. Throughout the past nine years, Julie has worked as a
lifeguard and swim instructor, teaching children ages 3 -13 basic and advanced
swimming techniques as well as pool safety. Julie also worked in a daycare as a
Teacher’s Assistant, helping to develop experiential education programs and
promote a fun and educational atmosphere. Julie earned a bachelor’s degree in
Health and Exercise Science from ColoradoStateUniversity,
where she was involved with a summer camp promoting active and healthy
lifestyles for children of all ages. Julie holds certifications in First Aid
and Adult, Child and Infant CPR.
