Beverage Service

assorted wines available at Alta LodgeWeddings, conferences and special events at Alta Lodge are hosted as private parties.  This means the event host buys the alcohol at state prices, and we charge only for serving it.  All beverage service is hosted – the event host pays a master bill for all beverage costs.  A cash bar is not available.

There are three costs for alcoholic beverage service: the bartender, the corkage, and the cost of the alcohol.

Bartender  A bartender is required for all alcohol service.  The cost is $30 per server per hour; two-hour minimum.  For groups of over 100, two servers are required.  We suggest one server per 75 guests.

State law requires that alcohol brought into the Lodge is sealed and has been purchased at a Utah state liquor store.  In the interest of our guests’ safety, our servers and managers are trained to be alert for signs of intoxication.  If necessary, we will advise guests to switch to non-alcoholic drinks.

Tax and 18% service charge are additional.  Prices subject to change.
