Spring Yoga Retreat AWARENESS THROUGH MOVEMENT and STILLNESS with Kim Dastrup and Thomas McConkie Friday, May 24 – Sunday, May 26, 2013 Join us at Alta Lodge this spring for a 3-day yoga/mindfulness retreat with Kim and Tom, exploring the theme of "Awareness through movement and stillness". Kim and Tom each began their practices in yoga and meditation in 1999. Joining forces, they will offer a harmonious blend of yoga asana practice and mindfulness meditation. Come experience the joy and freedom of moving into sensation through yoga and drinking from the deep well of the present through mindful awareness. At this retreat, you'll go beyond the physical practice of yoga and start to taste the unity of body, mind and spirit arising moment to moment as grace and freedom. Kim will offer five complete yoga sessions throughout the weekend, focusing on alignment, breath, and embodiment. Tom will guide attendees through daily meditation, instructing principles of mindful awareness. The retreat will also include daily pranayama, a Kirtan led by brilliant musician, Leraine Horstmanshoff, and optional private massage sessions with a licensed massage therapist. Enjoy gourmet meals prepared by a fantastic Alta Lodge staff, and private or semi-private rooming accommodations.
